Why did I choose this career? The way I get to the journalism wasn't very common, and many of you will think that I was irresponsible or childish. The truth is that I never knew very well what I wanted to study. The problem wasn’t that I didn't like anything, it was the opposite, I liked everything , I wanted to study from astronomy to music to political sciences, except engineering (mathematics are not my thing). One day some students of journalism at the University of Chile came into my school, that day I started to think about the career. It looked like a good idea because it's a career where you can do or study various themes like politics, art or what you what. Even after I took the PSU I wasn’t sure  about the career but I decide to try luck. My name is Catalina, I am 21 years old and I am from Santiago. I was born on july 8th of 1995, my mom is a single mother so I live with her and my grand parents. I studied all my life in the same school, at Republica de Siria School. At nine years old I started to practice rhythmic gymnastics, so in the mornings I went to study and in the afternoon I would train. When I was around 15 years old I had and injury on my hip so I had to get surgery two times. After that I quit rhythmic gymnastics and focused on entering to college and discoverd what I wanted to study. Finally I found out that journalism was what I wanted to be and what I'm passionate about.
